Spring Awakenings

Hey all,

Sorry we’ve been off the radar for a while. Things have been quieter since the tour, but still busy and super productive. As you all know, we finished up five months on the road in December, and we played our last shows in beautiful Colorado.

Five months away from home and on tour required quit a bit of R&R, but we’re happy to say we’ve never stopped being creative or productive. While we’ve not been playing any live shows lately, we have been crafting lots of new songs that are, while not necessarily a major departure from the material on our album Leading the Horse, certainly a bit of a different sound–one that reflects the months spent as a strictly-acoustic duo.

While on the road, we discovered new sounds with just the two of us, and the bare-bones approach certainly freshened our perspective. We’re excited about all of this new material, as we really feel it’s our best yet, and we can’t wait to share it with you soon.

Soon we’ll begin announcing some regional shows (here in the Southeast, mostly) we have lined up for the summer, but until then, please don’t forget our debut album, Leading the Horse, is for sale here through our website’s store and digitally through iTunes and Amazon.

Also, stay tuned for more info about our appearance at the St. Pete FolkFest in St. Petersburg, Florida the weekend of October 1-3. We recently found out we’ll be playing on the bill with the Indigo Girls!
